Kathy Hall, REALTOR®
Kathy is a Charlottesville native, and a member of the second class of women at UVA who were admitted without regard to gender. After graduating with a degree in Mathematics, she moved to New York to begin her "first" career in sales at IBM, and was the first professional woman hired in her office. Kathy’s "second" career was as a math teacher in Morristown, New Jersey and Atlanta, Georgia and she also served as the Dean of Faculty at the Stratton Mountain School, a winter sports academy and boarding school in Vermont. Interesting fact: Two of her students competed in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
When Kathy and her husband returned to Charlottesville, she knew her "third" career would be in real estate. She has always had a passion for beautiful homes, and having moved with her family to five different states, she understands the challenges that relocating presents. She prides herself on providing the highest level of professionalism and support to her clients. Her greatest strength is her ability to communicate effectively with all parties involved in a real estate transaction. You can be sure that as a former teacher, Kathy will be your strongest advocate.
Kathy met her husband Jeff on her 17th birthday, at a Kiwanis Club awards dinner in the old Monticello Hotel for the “Top Ten” seniors from Lane and Albemarle. For her, it was love at first sight. He paid no attention to her, but they were married five years later. They have two adult children, a daughter who also lives in Charlottesville and a son in New Orleans. Since returning to Charlottesville, Kathy has been involved with the Boys & Girls Club and The Women’s Initiative. On a beautiful day, you just might find her on the golf course.
