While some might jokingly say that the three most important things in Real Estate are “location, location, location” Abby believes the most important things are “connection, connection, connection”.
Abby delivers the specific cocktail that each relationship and property requires while navigating the home buying and selling process. Abby’s goal is for her clients to feel fully supported and at ease throughout a process that might otherwise feel uncertain and complex. To top it off, Abby brings a signature deep sense of joy into every interaction.
After graduating from UVA (’05, Pi Beta Phi), Abby worked for 17 years in DC, Chicago, and as a remote consultant driving development strategy and securing millions of dollars of funding in the non-profit sector. She also began nurturing her love of homes and interiors while securing and managing multiple investment properties across different cities and markets.
When Abby and her husband decided to decamp Chicago for a place that truly felt more like “them”, they spent many months living in other cities to find the ideal spot, the spot where they felt most connected, most at home. While Boulder and Durham were runners up, Abby’s love of Charlottesville’s natural beauty and the human connection of all its wonderful communities made it the obvious place to put down roots.
Enthusiastic and relentlessly positive, meticulous and detail oriented, effective, and a sharp and fierce negotiator (one colleague once called her: a steel fist in a velvet glove), Abby loves closing deals where everyone leaves happy. Once everything’s signed, sealed, and delivered you might even hear her say: Yes, honey, yes!
When she’s not celebrating making the perfect connections for her clients, volunteering, or proudly donating a percentage of her closings to nonprofits like Stepping Stone where she is an Advisory Committee Member, Abby can also be found with her husband, their two children, and their rescue dog, either digging in the garden or sitting down to a farmer’s market meal with friends at the big table on their farm near North Garden.
