Aly Moore, Referring Agent
Aly is thrilled to be a member of the Loring Woodriff Real Estate Associates team. Her approach to practicing real estate is a perfect match with the firm’s philosophy of conscientious and personalized service in accordance with the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. She finds true meaning and purpose in “hearing” the needs of her clients and helping them to move one step closer to the fulfillment of their hopes and dreams for their families and their lives.
Drawing upon a wide array of personal and professional experience, Aly brings to bear skills acquired in the fields of real estate and development and insight honed during a lifetime of navigating change. Aly understands that buying and selling a home is less about “making a deal” than it is about understanding the ultimate goal of the parties to the transaction and creating a win-win for all involved. Whether it's a first home or the tenth, it is always an emotional and unique experience that she helps clients navigate with professional knowledge and insight and a compassionate heart.
Charlottesville has been her home since 1999 when she moved here and the town, its people, and the natural beauty of the area captured her heart. Prior to that, she lived abroad in Germany and Italy and was an army wife for 12 years. She holds a master's degree in International Relations from Georgetown University and Boston University. She has two wonderful sons, both of whom attended Western Albemarle High School, one of our first-rate public schools, and went on to study at Caltech and Georgetown University.
Aly’s energy and enthusiasm extend well beyond her professional pursuits. She is actively involved in many facets of the Charlottesville community; as a yoga teacher at several local area studios; as a USTA league tennis player; as a cyclist riding her road bike with area biking clubs; and, over the years, as a volunteer in a wide array of area organizations: President of the PTA, Montessori Community School; editor of the electronic newsletter, founder of the National GeoBee, and Destination Imagination coach at Meriwether Lewis Elementary; member of The Women's Committee of the Martha Jefferson Hospital; Chair of the Fundraising Committee for the Junior League; and as the volunteer Director of Tournament Housing for the UVA Men's Tennis Team and the Boyd Tinsley Women's Professional $50K Tennis tournament.
Aly looks forward to working with many more wonderful clients like those she's already had the pleasure of serving and now counts among her dear friends. She knows that it's not a house; it's your home and your life.
