Dennis Woodriff

Dennis is a Charlottesville native, born and raised in Somerset, Virginia, near Charlottesville. He attended the University of Pennsylvania, the US Army and NYU graduate business school.
He lived in Colombia for a couple of years after the Vietnam war, then returned to the Charlottesville area to raise a family. He has continuously been involved with real estate-related activities, cattle and sheep farming, developing a successful tree nursery and a vinifera vineyard, and renovating homes.
His hobbies include the usual outdoor activities such as horseback riding, hiking, and he recently launched in Mobjack Bay his sailboat, a 38 foot sharpie yawl, 32 feet on deck, which he built from scratch in his back yard. Dennis is a co-founder and co-group leader of the Charlottesville Chapter of Citizens’ Climate Lobby working to create political will for climate solutions and specifically The Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act of 2019.
Dennis’ focus in helping clients is in understanding their needs and in aiding them to balance their priorities realistically. A lifetime resident of the Charlottesville area, Dennis not only knows the community, he’s glad to share his knowledge. He is also a great help in understanding the quality and condition of homes and land and what may be involved in bringing and keeping these maintained and up-to-date.
