Laura Futty is a Charlottesville, Virginia REALTOR® with deep local roots and a thoughtful, client-first approach. A Charlottesville native since 1979, she has witnessed the area’s growth firsthand and now helps buyers and sellers navigate the Charlottesville real estate market with clarity, care, and steady guidance.
After earning her degree in Psychology from George Mason University, Laura returned home to pursue work centered on service and leadership, including roles in the criminal justice field and as Executive Director of the Albemarle County Police Foundation. Along with decades of volunteerism in the Charlottesville community, these experiences shaped how she approaches her work today by listening carefully, handling sensitive situations with discretion, and guiding people through important decisions.
With an entrepreneurial background and a keen eye for detail, Laura takes a hands-on approach with her clients and remains closely involved throughout each step of the process. She is valued for her clear communication, steady presence, and commitment to helping clients feel informed and supported from start to finish.
Laura proudly represents R.L. Beyer Custom Homes in Ashcroft, and works with buyers and sellers throughout Charlottesville, Albemarle, and the surrounding counties. She enjoys connecting people through real estate, shared interests, and community relationships and values building meaningful, long-term connections rooted in trust.
Outside of real estate, Laura enjoys playing tennis and mahjong, antiquing with her husband, Randy, spending time with her two young adult daughters, cheering on one as a horse-show mom, and taking long walks around Old Trail in Crozet with her rescue Labs, Finn and Odin.
